cram demo

One self-contained binary that bundles two GUI apps and launches them.

The demo CLI needs neither Nix nor the GUI apps installed: cram packs galculator and thunar into the binary itself.

$ demo calc      # opens galculator
$ demo thunar    # opens thunar

Install

Download the artifact for your platform, make it executable, and run it:

$ curl -fLo demo https://cram-demo.slopkit.dev/.well-known/cram/channels/stable
$ chmod +x demo
$ ./demo calc

The same binary can update itself from the stable channel:

$ ./demo update

What this exercises

• Packing a devenv profile (the launcher plus two GTK apps) into one file.
• Resolving the update channel from /.well-known/cram.
• Launching bundled binaries on a host with no Nix store.
